Cancelation Policy

Ring A Bottle (RAB) – Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: 01-01-2025

At Ring A Bottle (“RAB,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), we aim to provide a reliable and transparent experience for customers (users), vendors, and delivery partners (shoppers). This Cancellation Policy explains when an order may be cancelled, when cancellation is not permitted, and the consequences of cancellation.

This policy applies to all orders placed through the RAB Platform.

1. General Cancellation Principles

  • Cancellation requests are not guaranteed and are subject to order status, timing, and legal requirements.
  • Once an order progresses beyond certain stages, cancellation may be restricted or unavailable.
  • Where permitted, cancellations may result in partial charges, service fees, or no refund, in accordance with Platform policies and applicable law.

2. Customer-Initiated Cancellations

2.1 Before Order Acceptance or Preparation

A customer may cancel an order without charge if:

  • The vendor has not yet accepted the order, and
  • No preparation, processing, or dispatch has begun.

2.2 After Order Acceptance or Preparation

Once a vendor has accepted and started preparing an order:

  • Cancellation may not be permitted, especially for:
    • Perishable goods;
    • Customized or prepared items;
    • Restricted products.
  • If cancellation is exceptionally permitted, partial charges, service fees, or vendor-assessed costs may apply.
  • Any approved refund, where applicable, will be issued only as an in-app wallet credit, subject to the Refund Policy.

2.3 After Dispatch or Delivery

Once an order has been dispatched or delivery is in progress:

  • Cancellations are not permitted.
  • If an OTP (One-Time Password) is required and provided, the order is deemed completed, final, and non-cancellable.

3. Vendor-Initiated Cancellations

Vendors may cancel an order only under legitimate circumstances, including:

  • Item out of stock or unavailable;
  • Store closure or technical failure;
  • Legal or regulatory restrictions preventing fulfillment.

Vendor obligations:

  • Customers must be notified promptly.
  • Reasonable substitutions or alternatives should be offered where possible.
  • Repeated or unjustified cancellations may result in:
    • Penalties;
    • Reduced visibility;
    • Temporary suspension;
    • Permanent delisting from the Platform.

4. Shopper (Delivery Partner)-Initiated Cancellations

Shoppers may cancel an assigned order only when:

  • A personal emergency occurs;
  • Pickup or drop-off locations are unsafe or inaccessible;
  • Completion would violate applicable law or Platform rules.

All cancellations must be logged through the RAB app.

Repeated or unjustified cancellations may result in:

  • Performance review;
  • Reduced access to delivery opportunities;
  • Suspension or termination from the Platform.

5. OTP-Based Delivery Finalization

For orders requiring OTP verification:

  • Submission of the OTP confirms successful delivery and acceptance.
  • The order is marked final and completed.
  • No cancellations, modifications, or refunds are permitted after OTP confirmation.
  • Any post-OTP issues must be resolved directly between the customer and vendor, without liability to RAB.

6. Service Fees and Cancellation Charges

RAB reserves the right to apply or retain service and delivery-related fees incurred up to the point of cancellation.

General framework:

  • Before preparation: No charge;
  • After preparation but before delivery: Partial charge or service fee may apply;
  • After dispatch or OTP confirmation: No cancellation and no refund.

Fees may vary based on distance, time, preparation status, or operational factors.

7. Force Majeure

Orders may be cancelled by RAB, vendors, or shoppers without penalty due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters;
  • Severe weather or road closures;
  • Civil unrest;
  • System outages or infrastructure failures;
  • Public health emergencies.

Where appropriate, RAB may issue in-app wallet credit or alternative remedies, subject to verification and applicable law.

8. Legal and Regulatory Compliance

This Cancellation Policy is governed by:

  • Canadian federal consumer protection laws;
  • Applicable provincial regulations of the delivery or vendor location.

Where mandatory law conflicts with this policy, the law will prevail.

9. Policy Updates

RAB reserves the right to update this Cancellation Policy at any time. Updates will be communicated via the app or website with a revised effective date.

Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
